Would you like your kids to participate in after-school activities like dance, sports and cooking? Powell Padres is working to bring fun enrichment clubs to the aftercare setting. This year marks the beginning of a multi-year effort to enhance our aftercare programming. In the 2018-19 school year, the activities will be integrated into the regular aftercare classes and will change on a quarterly basis – no registration required.

We are rolling out this program as a “pilot” for the fall 2018 session, so not all aftercare classes will participate right away. However, all aftercare grades will benefit from the program by the end of the school year. For this session, ECE aftercare classes will do science experiments, including fun cooking activities, on Mondays. On Tuesdays, students in Ms. Negron’s first-grade class will learn about dance, and Ms. Dove and Ms. Cordova's second-grade students will have yoga.

Classes will end about 5:45, so please try to pick up our children after that time if possible.

There is no mandatory fee for families to participate, but we are asking families to donate what they can to make our aftercare enrichment a long-term success. The suggested donation to cover your child’s participation in these enrichment activities is $10 per quarter, although $50 would go a long way toward offsetting costs.

You can donate at or Venmo (@Powell-Padres), or by writing a check to Powell Padres. Please note that it is for aftercare enrichment. Cash payments will be accepted at designated fundraisers. Even if your child is not participating in this fall pilot, we ask you to consider making a donation to ensure the long-term viability of the program.
